Tamil Nadu Government Awarded Rs 20 Lakh To Guys Who Won Bronze In Sailing

The Tamil Nadu government awarded the state sports persons Chengappa Ganapathy Kelapandaand Vikas Thakkar for winning the bronze medal in event 49er men sailing event at the Asian Games in Indonesia. The state Chief Minister K Palaniswami has announced a cash incentive of Rs 20 lakhs. The government had given this cash for their feat. This is according to the policy of government for promoting the sport talent in Tamil Nadu. There was a separate letters written to Kelapanda and Thakkar by the Chief Minister. In the letter the boys were lauded for the medal-winning performance. It was written in the letter that state, the boys has made the country proud. Team Mac Wins 2017 Busan Cup

The 2017 Women’s International Match Race for the Busan Cup was won by Lucy Macgregor and her team. The Team Mac comprising of Charlotte Lawrence, Imogen Stanley, Bethan Carden, Rosie Watkins and Lucy Macgregor won the final 3-0. This is the third time that Lucy has won the Busan Cup as a skipper. She was over the moon with this victory and the joy of lifting the Busan Cup once again was clearly seen in her eyes. Lucy Macgregor is the reigning Women’s Match Racing World Champion and she showed why she is a terror in this race. She proved her prowess and her great skills during the final round battle with Trine Palludan, who entered the finals without losing any of her rounds. World Sailing Begin Journey To Sustainability

The sustainability commission of World Sailing has taken the first steps to create the 'Sustainability Agenda 2030' after their first meeting in London, which held in the Great Britain between 29-30 August this year. The group of experts was chaired by the Mike Golding OBE, who was appointed to the commission in 2017 June. The meeting brought all the groups together when it's held at the Executive Office of World Sailing for the very first time.
